Atoms Privacy Policy
Atoms is published and operated by Ashwani Kottapalli, based in India. This policy covers the Atoms app, our websites and related services. “We”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of Atoms.

Information we collect
- Account and profile information: an internal player ID, sign-in provider identifiers, email address when supplied, display name, username, and the profile photo or avatar you choose. Apple may provide a private relay email address. A guest account can have an identifier without an email address.
- Gameplay and preferences: games you open or play, attempts and results, scores, XP, streaks, saved and liked games, recommendations and feed interactions, account timezone, and notification preferences.
- Social activity and content: friend and follow relationships, invitations, groups, comments, direct and group messages, shared games and results, and reports or blocking actions. This includes the information other players send to you or include in a report involving your account.
- Build and support submissions: your game ideas and prompts, request status, related game content, and information you send when asking for help.
- Technical information: installation identifiers, push notification tokens when used, app version, device model and operating system, usage and performance events, IP addresses, and server diagnostics. Request logs may contain search terms you submit. We use a local country database to determine which optional analytics choices apply. Sign-in and infrastructure providers may also use IP-derived general location for security and fraud prevention.
We obtain information from you, your device and interactions with Atoms, your chosen sign-in provider, and other players as described above. Providing profile content and sending messages or Build requests is optional. Some information, such as an account identifier and gameplay records, is needed to deliver the corresponding features.
How we use information
We use information to sign you in, operate games, save progress, calculate rankings and streaks, recommend games and people, provide social and Build features, send notifications you enable, answer support requests, investigate reports, prevent abuse and understand product reliability and usage.
Recommendations use activity and preferences within Atoms. Build requests are reviewed by our team to help create and deliver requested games; prompts are not public posts.
We do not sell personal information, share it with data brokers, or combine it with data from other companies for targeted advertising. We do not use cross-app or cross-website advertising tracking. Our product analytics can be linked to your Atoms account; they are not described as anonymous. We do not use session recording, automatic screen capture or PostHog autocapture.
Optional usage analytics
Optional usage analytics helps us understand games played, screens opened and features used. When enabled, Atoms sends bounded gameplay and app activity, an Atoms account ID, session information and app/device details through our backend to PostHog. This information can be linked to your Atoms account. We do not use it for advertising targeting.
For users in the EEA and UK, optional usage analytics starts off and requires your consent. You can choose to enable it if you confirm that you are 16 or older. You can continue using Atoms without enabling it. In other countries, optional usage analytics is enabled by default and you can switch it off at any time, except that it remains off in China and South Korea. It also stays off when we cannot reliably determine which regional policy applies. We respect a saved opt-out when your region changes; a regional default is not recorded as your consent.
In app versions with these controls, change your choice in Personal → Settings → Privacy. Older versions cannot enable optional usage analytics under this policy. Switching off stops new optional analytics on that device and clears its unsent events. If offline, the choice is queued for synchronization; other devices learn the account preference when they reconnect. Switching off does not automatically erase earlier data. Our retention and account-deletion provisions explain that processing. Account, security and gameplay records needed to provide the service are separate from optional analytics.
Our server uses DB-IP Country Lite, licensed under CC BY 4.0, for local country lookup. Your IP address is not sent to DB-IP for this lookup. We do not use GPS for this purpose.
What other people can see
Your public name, username, avatar, profile, published game attribution, comments and eligible leaderboard results may be visible to other players. Shared links can make the associated game, limited profile details and result visible to people outside the app. Messages and group content are visible to their recipients or members; recipients may keep their own copies. Your account email and private Build prompts are not displayed on your public profile.
Authorized team members can access information needed for fulfillment, support, safety and operation. “Private” messages and prompts are not a promise of end-to-end encryption or that the operator can never access them.
Service providers and other disclosures
- Google Cloud and Firebase: application hosting, databases, game files, authentication, delivery of push notifications and related diagnostics.
- Apple and Google sign-in: authentication when you choose these sign-in methods, subject also to the provider’s privacy information.
- PostHog: optional, bounded product analytics using our internal player ID, as explained above. New analytics exports exclude account email, private message text, Build prompt text, authentication tokens and score-verification proofs. Earlier analytics records or profiles may still contain email addresses sent before this change; switching off does not automatically erase them.
- Vercel: hosting our public website and processing the network information needed to serve and protect it.
Providers process information to deliver their services under applicable contracts and data-processing terms. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to investigate abuse, protect people, enforce our Terms or respond to a valid legal request. External links and third-party destinations have their own privacy practices.
Where information is processed
Our application services, primary database and game-artifact storage are hosted in Google Cloud’s Belgium region. Our current PostHog project is hosted in the United States. Firebase authentication, notification delivery, sign-in services, website hosting and authorized team access may involve other countries, including India, where we operate.
Information may therefore be processed outside your country. For transfers subject to applicable data-protection law, the providers’ data-processing terms include transfer safeguards where required, such as standard contractual clauses. You can contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data.
Device storage and permissions
Atoms uses local device storage for sign-in sessions, preferences, cached content and downloaded games. Our websites or games may use browser storage for their functionality. Hosting providers process routine connection logs. We do not use advertising cookies on the Atoms landing page or policy pages.
You can control notifications through Atoms and your device settings. Declining an optional permission does not prevent unrelated features from working. Removing the app or clearing browser storage removes local information but does not itself request deletion of your server-side account.
Retention
Our retention policy sets the following periods:
- Account details, progress, social content, private Build prompts and account-linked PostHog history are retained while the account exists, with removal as part of completed account deletion.
- Platform analytics delivery receipts: 30 days. These are separate from the account-linked product events in PostHog.
- Ordinary score-verification proofs: 90 days.
- Limited pseudonymous operational audit records: 24 months.
A documented open safety or fraud case, or a legal obligation, may require retention of the affected records for longer. Support and security records are retained as needed to resolve the relevant issue or obligation. Information that has been irreversibly anonymized may be retained because it no longer identifies an individual.
Our primary database keeps seven automated backup copies. Deleted data may remain in those backups until they rotate out. Backups are for recovery and are not an active product database.
Delete your account and data
In Atoms, open Personal → Settings → Account → Delete account. Guests can also request deletion of their guest account. If you cannot use the app, follow the account-deletion instructions.
An in-app request freezes the account and schedules deletion after a seven-day grace period. Signing in again does not automatically cancel the request. Contact support promptly if the request was accidental. The grace period is not a guarantee that all provider copies have been erased on day seven; processing and verification can take longer, as explained above.
Completed deletion removes your profile, sign-in identity, progress, attributable social content and private Build prompts, and includes deletion of the associated PostHog profile and events, subject to the limited legal or safety exceptions described above. For Apple-linked accounts, the deletion flow may ask for fresh Apple confirmation to disconnect authorization. If that step fails, follow the retry or support instructions shown in the app.
A previously reviewed published game may remain available under the Atoms team’s attribution only after its artifact has been reviewed for personal content. This does not permit keeping your private prompt or identifiable content embedded in that game. Copies independently saved by other people are outside our control.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or receive a copy of your information, correct it, request deletion, restrict processing, or receive portable data. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
Where UK or European data-protection law applies, we process information to provide the service you request, for legitimate interests such as operating, improving and protecting Atoms, to meet legal obligations, or with consent where required. You can object to legitimate-interest processing by emailing us. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Office where applicable.
Send requests to support@rovix.digital. We may need proportionate information to verify account ownership. Do not send passwords or sign-in codes. We respond within applicable legal time limits and explain any permitted exception. We do not penalize you for exercising privacy rights.
Children and young players
Atoms is intended for people aged 13 or older, and is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account or use Atoms if you are under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has supplied personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
Security and policy updates
We use access controls and encrypted network connections to help protect information. No service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your sign-in details private and report suspected misuse to us.
We will post policy updates here with a revised date and provide additional notice or seek consent when required. Contact support@rovix.digital with questions.
